Happy Valley City Hall, Happy Valley, Oregon
Client: Happy Valley City Hall
Studio Art Direct designed, curated, commissioned, produced, framed and installed 36 works of art for the Happy Valley City Hall.
Happy Valley developed very quickly over the past several years because it became part of the Oregon's famed Urban Growth Boundary. With that, homes parks and schools replaced farmlands. To honor the past, Studio Art Direct worked with locals to gather historic images of the farms and people from the late 1800's on. We drum-scanned the beautiful old photos and printed them on 4'x4' frosted plex panels with a brief history...learn more.
 We also commissioned two local artists to paint 48x60 oil on canvas landscapes reminicent of the valley's scenery.
For the "planning area," we created a 8 two-layered frosted plex art pieces with planning designs floating over large floral images for a 3-D affect....learn more.
In addition to commissioned and "out of the box" giclee applications, we provided open edition and limited edition paintings for office and general areas through out the building.
